When is a psychological test or evaluation indicated and how can the results help with diagnosing and treating your clients?

Psychological tests are formalized measures of mental functioning. Most are objective and quantifiable; however, certain projective tests may involve some level of subjective interpretation. Also known as inventories, measurements, questionnaires, and scales, psychological tests are administered in a variety of settings.

This presentation will help you understand the following:

The history of psychological testing
The difference between psychological tests, assessments, measurements, and surveys
The ways psychological tests are similar and different from one another
The different ways which psychological tests can be classified
What the most commonly used psychological tests are and how to use them as a resource in your work as a Licensed Professional Counselor.
